Arnold Schwarzenegger has said of Sacramento, "that town is really great, the legislators are good, and there are good restaurants" and on the last point in particular it is easy to agree with him! Some fellow Californians dismiss Sacramento as being too "suburban" but this is not the case and in the selection of dining facilities it offers it is quite cosmopolitan. Every taste is catered for here. Old Sacramento especially has some great restaurants including Café New Orleans and the The Firehouse. Special mention has to go to the Pilothouse restaurant situated in the Delta King Hotel in Old Sacramento. This is a riverboat converted into a lovely hotel and the restaurant offers fine dining and a view of the Sacramento skyline. We have recommended a few restaurants here to try out but there are scores more in Sacramento city.
